Bayer: CEO Bill Anderson receives new contract until 2029

Anderson took over Bayer in 2023 in a difficult situation. His predecessor, Werner Baumann, had acted unluckily and saddled himself with billions of dollars in legal risks from the sale of the weed killer glyphosate with the takeover of US competitor Monsanto. These legacy issues continue to pose problems for Bayer. The statement states that the company is pursuing a "multi-pronged strategy, implemented step by step, to significantly mitigate legal risks."
