The "Mein Schiff 3" will set sail from Bremerhaven for 21 days. The route will take you to the Canary Islands – and the ship will remain loyal to its home port.
As autumn arrives in Germany, the "Mein Schiff 3" is heading for warmer climes. The TUI Cruises cruise ship departed Bremerhaven on Sunday for an extended tour of the Canary Islands.
The voyage will last three weeks, and the ship will not return to the mouth of the Weser until mid-November. The itinerary includes a total of ten ports in three countries. In Spain, the "Mein Schiff 3" will stop in A Coruña before continuing on to Portugal. There, passengers will visit Leixões near Porto and the capital Lisbon. A stopover on Madeira will take passengers to Funchal.
The focus of the cruise is the Canary Islands, with five different stops: Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, La Palma, and Tenerife. On the return journey, there's a detour to Morocco, stopping in Agadir.
For "Mein Schiff 3," it's the start of a busy season. As the longest-serving member of the fleet, the ship will play a central role in the shipping company's Germany program this winter. Further cruises are planned from Bremerhaven: a second Canary Islands cruise, a Caribbean tour lasting more than a month, several two-week tours to the North Cape, and shorter trips to Scandinavia during Advent.
Bremerhaven has long since become the home base for "Mein Schiff 3." For some time now, the ship has been cruising from the mouth of the Weser River almost year-round, interrupted only by short breaks. TUI Cruises will continue this strategy in 2026: After the winter, the summer months will also be reserved for departures from Bremerhaven.
