Cause unclear: Postal vehicle burned out on federal highway

A postal vehicle caught fire on the federal highway 62 in Niederaula this morning. According to the police in Fulda, the Sprinter caught fire shortly before the postal distribution center for reasons still unknown. The driver failed in his attempt to put out the fire himself. The fire brigade finally put out the Sprinter, but it burned out completely. No one was injured in the fire. According to the police, the extent of the damage is still unclear. The road was completely closed for around two hours.
