Traffic jam forecast: ADAC expects traffic jams at the start of the carnival holidays
The ADAC is expecting a lot of traffic jams on Bavaria's motorways at the start of the carnival holidays this weekend. Patience will be needed, especially on routes to the southern ski and holiday regions, the automobile club predicts. One bright spot, however, is that Bavaria is the only federal state with school holidays between March 3 and 7, said an ADAC spokesperson.
According to traffic experts, there will be a lot of skiers on the A7 motorway between Ulm and Füssen/Reutte, the A95 and B2 between Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald, and the A93 between Rosenheim and Kufstein. The ADAC also expects very heavy traffic on the A8 Munich - Salzburg, the A9 Nuremberg - Munich, and the A99 Munich East Bypass. On the A13 Brenner motorway, travelers should expect traffic jams due to construction work on the dilapidated Lueg Bridge.
