Traton remains confident despite profit slump

In the first quarter, Traton delivered 73,090 vehicles of the Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus brands, 10 percent fewer than the previous year. Sales revenue also declined by 10 percent to €10.6 billion, and operating profit plummeted by a good 40 percent to €646 million. This results in an operating return on sales of 6.1 percent, compared to 9.4 percent a year earlier. Order intake simultaneously improved by 12 percent.
