Up to 550,000 euros salary: AI company Anthropic is looking for talent in Europe – what applicants need to bring

"Anthropic is an 'AI safety-first' company. We build safe, responsible, and ethical models," said Guillaume Princen, Head of EMEA at the US company Anthropic, on Wednesday at a panel at Viva Tech in Paris .
What he's primarily expressing is that Anthropic sees itself as a counter-model to industry leader OpenAI. Which makes sense considering that the company behind the chatbot Claude was founded by former OpenAI employees who left Sam Altman's company due to ethical concerns.
What Princen is also saying is that Anthropic fits much better into the European AI landscape, which is also characterized by measures and debates surrounding security and ethics.
"Anthropic is first and foremost an AI security company," Princen told the British startup magazine Sifted. "There's something deeply European about the way Anthropic thinks about AI development."
All of this fits in very well with Anthropoic's current hiring campaign in Europe. And perhaps the European CEO is highlighting this on the Viva Tech stage to position himself ahead in the race for the best European talent.
Rival OpenAi has also been expanding here for a long time, has just opened its campus in Munich and has – admittedly: a few – vacancies there .
