Blood will flow: Scythe through Berlin's cycling traffic

Overtaking without catching up
The road traffic regulations stipulate how a bicycle must be equipped for safety. A scythe is not mentioned in the regulations, but can be very useful in the event of a conflict.
The moment the speedy city cyclist slows down, he's perceived as a danger by other road users. We recently had the story about the suitcase he was carrying , which forced him to slow down because of his one-handed riding and its extra width. A woman who overtook him left him with the question of whether it was really necessary, and the ensuing existential questions: Why a suitcase? Why travel? Vacations? Why exist at all? Is all this really necessary?
