Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is a penny pincher. Instead of working at a proper desk, the world's current fourth-richest man spent years working on a door to which he had screwed four legs. This spirit continues at Amazon under Bezos' successor, Andy Jassy, CEO since 2021. However, Jassy understood this to mean more than just spartan furniture; it primarily meant reducing the number of employees.
