How Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Moved on From Dolce & Gabbana Fight
Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian aren't keeping up with this drama anymore.
Over two years after Kim collaborated with Dolce & Gabbana for their Milan Fashion Week Show runway show—which led to tensions with Kourtney, who was hurt by its striking resemblance to her wedding dress by the designers—the sisters revealed how they made amends with a collaboration.
"I couldn't imagine a better campaign than you and me together," Kim—who was in the process of launching a SKIMS collab with Dolce—told Kourtney in the Feb. 27 episode of The Kardashians. "It wouldn't be a Dolce thing without you."
But she knew recruiting her older sister for the promotion was a long shot since Kourtney—who tied the knot with Travis Barker in May 2022 at Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's Portofino villa—previously shared how Kim was "legit copying" her wedding for the 2022 collaboration.
It seems that's water under the bridge as the 45-year-old agreed to work with Kim.
As Kourtney put it, "I feel like we've moved on in life. That sounds iconic."
But that doesn't mean the initial debacle doesn't still hurt her.
"Initially, everything she did was Dolce," Kourtney reflected in the confessional, "I just felt so disconnected from my sister. I didn't feel like my feelings were heard or validated or understood. My feelings didn't matter. She just had to do it all."
However, she emphasized, "We're sisters, and we love each other. Life is short. So, it's time to move on."
Once they were on set in their matching cheetah print bodysuits, Kim couldn't help but gush over the campaign.
"I forgave her and she forgives me," she noted. "Now, we're working together on an iconic f--king shoot."
The way Kim sees it, they're too mature to hold on to the beef.
"For anyone that thinks that we wouldn't even be cool because we got into a fashion fight over what we wear is crazy," the 44-year-old said. "That's what we were doing in elementary school."
But she's also incredibly grateful that they've finally settled their differences.
"When I really think back on how ugly that fight got, just to where we are now, laughing about it and shooting together a campaign—that's crazy," Kim concluded. "I'm happy that I was the one to bring her out of retirement, I probably drove her to retirement, so I am the one that can bring her out."
