Queen Camilla: New family member after tragic loss

A few months after the death of her dog Beth, Camilla adopted a new puppy. She revealed this during a visit to the museum.
Queen Camilla (77) has announced that her family has a new member: a few months after the wife of King Charles III (76) had to bury her Jack Russell Terrier Beth, she has now adopted a new puppy.
While visiting a museum in Canterbury on Tuesday, Camilla met a guide dog who was accompanying a visually impaired museum group. The 77-year-old stroked the Labrador lovingly and revealed: "I've just had a new puppy, she's eight weeks old." When asked about the dog's breed, the Queen said: "A bit of everything. She's a rescued dog." She also revealed the four-legged friend's name: Moley, which means "mole" in German. The dog looks like a mole, she joked.
During the visit to Canterbury, dog lover Camilla also met another guide dog named Ralph, whom she also immediately petted. "He looks very happy, he can probably smell my dogs," she noted.
Charles and Camilla are big dog loversAccording to the British "Mirror" , the puppy was born on Boxing Day and Camilla adopted her from the "Battersea Dogs and Cats" animal shelter, of which she is the patron. She also adopted her deceased dog Beth there in 2011. In addition to the new addition to the family, Camilla and Charles also have a dog named Bluebell.

The royal couple has posed with their four-legged friends time and again, for example in the official photo for their 15th wedding anniversary . The Queen also showed her bond with her animals when she had two Jack Russell terriers embroidered on the hem of her coronation dress.
Camilla announced on the Royal Family's official Instagram account in November 2024 that her "beloved companion" Beth had died. Shortly afterwards, Charles announced in an interview that he and his wife were planning to get a new dog.
