The Berlusconi family holding company increases its offer for the media group ProSiebenSat.1 DE000PSM7770.

The cash component of EUR 4.48 per share remains unchanged, the Italian company MediaForEurope NL0015000N09 (MFE) announced on Monday. However, MFE is now offering an additional 1.3 of its own shares, up from the original 0.4 shares. This increases the value to EUR 8.62 per ProSiebenSat.1 share, it said. The acceptance period continues until August 13. Previously, MFE had only offered the statutory minimum price. According to the latest information, the Berlusconi holding company held just under 30.1 percent of ProSiebenSat.1's voting rights. The share price rose by around ten percent before the market opened.

Czech financial investor PPF is currently offering €7.00 per share to increase its stake from 15 to up to 29.99 percent. The bidding war is about the influence of major shareholders on the company.
