Trump on the golf course - but what is the caddy doing with the ball?

A video has surfaced on social media that casts Donald Trump's golf skills in a more than negative light. It shows a caddy throwing the golf ball onto the course with his hand. This is normally a no-no in sports.
The US President regularly boasts of being a very good golfer. But in the clip, it appears as if his caddy—the person who carries the player's bag—is simply throwing a ball onto the grass in front of Trump. He gets out of his golf cart and only has to walk a few steps.
And that's not all. The caddy's movement raises the suspicion that the whole operation was intended to be secret. Neither of them likely expected the amateur videographer. The clip is currently going viral on the internet, garnering more than half a million views on YouTube after less than eight hours.
At Winged Foot, Donald Trump is listed with a handicap of 3.7, although he claims to have a handicap of 2.8. A handicap indicates a golfer's playing strength and allows players of different abilities to compete against each other.
The lower the number, the higher the skill level – it indicates how many strokes a player needs over or under par (course standard) to play a ball around a golf course. Moving the ball with the hand is actually only permitted in golf if it is being cleaned or declared unplayable.
