Freddy (18) spends a month on Mallorca – but never books a hotel
Mallorca without a room, budget, or plan: Freddy sets off, sleeping in caves, on the beach—even in the elevator. But for him, this isn't a makeshift solution; it's a lifestyle.
Frederick Speck (18) travels differently. No hotel, hardly any money, no reservation. For a month, he headed to Mallorca – to a different place every night.
Last year, the influencer tested out a "vacation without a hotel" with a friend in Lloret de Mar. He shared his travel experiences on TikTok. Freddy went to Mallorca alone. He spent the night in a cave, on the beach, in a hotel lobby—even in the elevator. "I'm just doing it for fun," says Freddy. For him, the nights under the stars are part of the show—he wants to surprise and entertain his community, not travel in comfort. "I've always made sure to offer my viewers variety," he explains.
In addition to the adventure, he also experienced a personal highlight: His experiences at Ballermann resulted in a song featuring artists from Bierkönig – a milestone for him. Unexpected appointments forced him back to Germany. He already knows where he's headed next: Tunisia – again without a permanent place to sleep.
