Lufthansa continues to work on harmonizing its service offerings with ITA Airways. Frequent flyers now have access to ITA lounges, and status members receive additional benefits.
From July 1, 2025, frequent travelers on all Lufthansa airlines will also be able to use the ITA Airways lounges. This expands the lounge network, especially for travel to and via Italy, to include the lounges in Milan, Rome, and Catania. Furthermore, all status guests of the Lufthansa Group benefit from priority check-in, additional baggage allowance, and waitlist priority when flying with ITA Airways. Senators and HON Circle members also enjoy priority boarding, fast lane access, expedited baggage handling, and free seat reservation.
ITA Airways' new long-haul codeshare offerings will also be available from July 1, 2025. ITA Airways' accession to the Star Alliance is planned for early 2026.
Collecting miles has been possible for some timeITA Airways, the fifth network airline of the Lufthansa Group, has been adapting its services since spring. Since February 2025, Miles & More members have been able to collect and redeem miles on all ITA Airways flights, as well as earn points, qualifying points, and, in Business Class, HON Circle points.
