A 90-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife in Pola de Laviana (Asturias), according to El Comercio .

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Following the murder, the alleged perpetrator allegedly attempted suicide, which is why he is currently hospitalized.

The detainee himself was the one who informed the couple's caretaker of what had happened.
