A fire on the road has forced the interruption of high-speed traffic between Madrid, Valladolid, and Gijón.

The operation of trains on the Madrid-Valladolid high-speed route has been halted due to a fire between the Río Duero line and the Campo Grande station in Valladolid. At 7:10 p.m. this Monday, Renfe announced that the affected trains are beginning to "gradually resume service" with the restoration of power.
Some of the affected trips have accumulated delays of more than two hours, although by 8 p.m. almost all had resumed their journey.
The affected trains are five Avant trains: Madrid 16:15-Valladolid 17:20, Madrid 17:00-Valladolid 18:05, Valladolid 17:50-Madrid 18:55, Madrid 18:15-Valladolid 19:20 (delayed departure) and Madrid 18:40-Valladolid 19:45 (delayed departure); three AVE trains: Madrid 16:49-Gijón 20:43, Burgos 17:21-Murcia 22:09 and León 17:51-Valencia 22:24; three Alvia trains : Gijón 15:12 - Alicante 22:56, Alicante 15:26-Gijón 23:01 and Madrid CH 17:37 - Irún 23:15 (delayed departure); and one Intercity : Madrid CH 17:30 - Ponferrada 21:42 (delayed departure).

"Train traffic between Río Duero and Valladolid Campo Grande has been interrupted for trains running on the Madrid-Valladolid high-speed route due to a fire," Adif said in a post on X.
It's worth noting that the 'Río Duero' is a geographical reference point for this high-speed line, located at kilometer point 168, approximately 11.6 kilometers from the Valladolid station.
