National Police officers have arrested an individual wanted by British authorities in Leganés , Madrid, accused of murder in London last January. The suspect, along with two other members of his group, attacked the victim using knives , nailed boards, and a crutch. The entire incident was recorded on video surveillance cameras .
The National Police have indicated that the arrested man could face life imprisonment . The operation was carried out in collaboration with the United Kingdom 's National Crime Agency (NCA). After being brought before the National Court , the suspect has been imprisoned pending extradition .
The investigation began after receiving a request for international cooperation to locate and arrest a fugitive who, according to information provided, was hiding in Spain after fleeing the United Kingdom.
According to the arrest warrant, the arrested man was involved in events that occurred in January , when, as a member of the violent youth group Trinitarios , along with two other members, he attacked a young man belonging to a rival gang.

Investigators were able to confirm that the fugitive was hiding in Leganés, and after monitoring his daily movements, he was finally located and captured in a local shopping center . Officers from the General Intelligence Police Station and the Fugitives Section of the General Judicial Police Station participated in the operation.
The Trinitarios youth group is considered one of the most violent and active groups in the country , with a presence in several European countries. According to the National Police, its members are also involved in crimes such as drug trafficking , document forgery , and fraud, among others.
