All of these EMT bus lines are going to undergo changes: the reason is due to construction work that will require the closure of several streets in Madrid.

Summer in Madrid brings not only the heat, but also a series of construction projects that have a direct impact on the lives of its residents. Starting this Monday, the capital faces major disruptions to its public transportation network due to a new phase of the expansion of Metro Line 11. These projects, concentrated in the strategic area of Plaza del Conde de Casal, will not only cause surface traffic disruptions but will also reshape the routes of six EMT bus lines, affecting thousands of daily users.
The epicenter of these modifications is Plaza del Conde de Casal and Avenida del Mediterráneo, two key transit hubs in the southeast of the city. The Conde de Casal tunnel, a key thoroughfare, will be closed to surface traffic, although traffic inside will be offered as an alternative. However, the main challenge lies with the bus service, with changes ranging from the relocation of terminals to the complete alteration of routes, requiring travelers to quickly adapt to the new routes.
Starting tomorrow, the lines indicated in the image will be changing their routes due to metro works around Plaza de Conde de Casal.

The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) has issued an urgent notice, urging users to stay informed through its official channels. A total of six EMT lines will be directly impacted by these works. Line 14, which connects Conde de Casal with Pío XII, will temporarily modify its route towards Pío XII and will establish a new temporary terminus in the Conde de Casal area.
Meanwhile, Line 32, which connects Benavente with Pavones, will undergo route changes, temporarily altering its route towards Jacinto Benavente. Line 63, which runs between Felipe II and Santa Eugenia, will undergo modifications in both directions, requiring special attention from users.

Similarly, Line 143, which runs between Manuel Becerra and Villa Vallecas, will adjust its route in both directions to adapt to the restrictions imposed by the construction work. Line 145, which connects Conde de Casal with Ensanche de Vallecas, will see its route modified in the Conde de Casal direction and will establish a new temporary terminus on Abtao Street.
Finally, even the night service is affected, as Line N9, known as the "owl" line, which connects Cibeles with Ensanche de Vallecas, will also temporarily modify its route in both directions.
Given this changing landscape, the EMT has made all its information channels available to citizens. The EMT mobile app (EMT App) and the official website, emtmadrid.es, are the most recommended tools for real-time access to provisional routes, the location of new stops, and any other issues that may arise.
