Four injured in an accident involving two cars and a van in Simancas (Valladolid)

A traffic accident at kilometer 135 of the A-62 highway , near Simancas ( Valladolid ) heading towards Burgos , has left four people injured . Two cars and a van were involved in the accident, the 1-1-2 emergency service reported to Europa Press .
The incident occurred at 00:34, when 1-1-2 alerted the Simancas Local Police , the Valladolid Traffic Police , the Valladolid Provincial Council Fire Brigade , and the Sacyl Emergency Coordination Center (CCU). The latter mobilized an Emergency Medical Unit (UME) and a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance to assist those affected.
During the operation, firefighters from the Valladolid Provincial Council freed two people trapped inside one of the cars. Meanwhile, medical teams treated four injured people : an 80-year-old man, transported by emergency medical unit; a 74-year-old man, a 60-year-old woman, and a 65-year-old woman, who were evacuated by ambulance to the Río Hortega University Hospital in Valladolid .
