Illegal dispossession of classrooms at Pascual Borja Institute is alleged

Directors and parents of the Pascual Borja Institute claim that they are victims of an illegal eviction from the facilities of the preschool and primary school in the Miguel Hidalgo municipality.
"For two years now, the lawsuit that the neighbor of the school wants to appropriate has been going on. He manipulated papers and did it his way, as he thought he could win, and on Friday there was a hearing, but so far there is no verdict and he already evicted us on Sunday morning," said Sister Marina Jaso, director of the school located at number 21 Lago Argentina, in the Argentina Antigua neighborhood.
He added that they never notified him or showed him a court order, however, they entered the school and took some furniture out onto the street, although valuable belongings were left inside.
Parents therefore blocked the Mexico-Tacuba highway, demanding that the authorities support them.
This land has been owned by the order of nuns for approximately 70 years, but Mr. Jorge Toriello argued since 2018 that it was donated to him and presented an alleged transfer of rights, however, one of those who signed the transfer was already deceased," one of the parents told this newspaper, who requested anonymity.
