Iran remains disconnected from the global internet as the conflict with Israel continues.

The conflict between Israel and Iran has been going on for more than a week, and bombings continue between the two territories. Since last Thursday, when Israel attacked several targets in Iranian territory, the situation has become more tense as the days go by.
Iran promised it would respond severely to the attacks, and it has done so. However, it also appears to have cut off its connection to the global internet within its territory, according to connection tracking sites.
It is not possible to call abroad from Iran. Iran has cut off internet access outside its territory since at least Wednesday afternoon, and inside the country, only Iranian websites are accessible, which remain connected to the country's intranet.
The Iranian government has not reported this blockage, but the NetBlocks platform, which monitors user connectivity and internet censorship, reports that "Iran has been disconnected from the global internet."

Live data shows that national connectivity remains at a lower percentage than normal levels, with only a handful of users able to connect via VPN, NetBlocks noted.
EFE was able to verify that since Wednesday afternoon, it was no longer possible to connect to websites outside the country, and VPNs commonly used to access blocked apps like WhatsApp and Telegram were also blocked. Telephone services continue to operate within the country, but it is not possible to make or receive calls abroad .

Iran has been under bombardment by Israeli forces for a week. On the 13th, they launched a large-scale attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, a target it is seeking to destroy out of fear that Tehran will acquire the atomic bomb, a move rejected by the authorities of the ayatollah regime.
The Israeli army has attacked military infrastructure (air defense systems, ballistic missile depots, etc.) and nuclear plants (Natanz, Isfahan, and Furdu), but also senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard officials and nuclear scientists.

Iranian authorities have not updated the official death toll since last Sunday, which remains at 224, a figure that, according to local reports, is already much higher than that number and which the US-based, anti-regime Iranian organization HRANA puts at 639 .
Iran, for its part, has attacked various military installations and also struck civilian targets such as the Soroka Hospital in Israel. Israeli authorities, on the other hand, have also kept the death toll on their territory at 24 for the past day.
