Metro launches campaign with tips for riders on managing stress

The Public Transportation System (STC) Metro launched a campaign to provide users with access to information on improving their quality of life and tips for managing stress.

The messages will be broadcast on the Metro's screens, featuring tools and tips for reducing stress in daily life, promoting positive emotions, connecting with one's life purpose, and fostering overall well-being, according to Metro Director Adrián Rubalcava.

"We know, according to IMSS data, that 74% of the population deals with stress, and given our mobility system's capacity to move large numbers of people, we think it's a great idea to work with these two companies, one with significant expertise in communication and the other specifically in health issues."

"We have decided to launch this campaign through ISATV's media outlets in the Metro, with the goal of helping all users achieve a better quality of life and understand how to manage stress more effectively," the official stated.

Accompanied by representatives of the companies with whom they will coordinate this campaign, Rubalcava added that posters in Metro stations will also feature a QR code containing more detailed information for people's well-being.

"We're also reviewing the fact that 4 out of 10 young people have health problems, and we think the Metro can be a bridge to creating this alliance between users' mental health and, of course, these companies, which are well-versed in how to treat them."

"We've also realized that the Metro isn't just focused on service improvements, but we're also determined to work on improving the quality of service and customer service," he noted.

The campaign, coordinated by ISA Corporativo, the Tecmilenio Institute for Purpose and Integral Well-being, and the Eva de Camou Foundation, also aims to prevent suicides in the Metro.

In this regard, the STC director recalled that they are promoting the "Saving Lives" program, which aims to help people with suicidal thoughts in the railway area.

"We've managed to save more than 800 people who have attempted suicide here on the Metro, and we're also training the Auxiliary Police and Banking Police officers who work on the Metro to provide psychological support to all users."

"So this significantly strengthens the Metro's existing programs, and now, with the support of these two large companies, key allies of the city government, they are coming to help us decisively support a very important program for the mayor, which is to protect mental health," he declared.
