Passengers evacuated from a train in Tarragona due to a catenary failure

An incident with the overhead line has led to the evacuation of 14 passengers from a train on line R15 , which was stopped approximately six kilometres from the Marçà-Falset station (Tarragona), according to the Generalitat Fire Brigade .

Firefighters, who have deployed three units, have stated that " the train is located in a safe area , outside the tunnel."

Rail traffic between the Marçà-Falset and Els Guiamets stations remains suspended due to the overhead line failure, which is affecting rail services between Reus (Tarragona) and Zaragoza.

Adif technical staff are working to resolve the problem to resume service , while the Generalitat's Civil Protection has launched the Ferrocat plan's pre-alert.
