SECTUR announces the arrival of cruise ships to Lake Texcoco

Water Tracks.- Given the surprising recovery of Lake Texcoco, the Ministry of Tourism will promote the arrival of cruise ships to the new national port.

Recently released photos of the new resort show the maritime and navigation capabilities of the former airport, making it ideal for receiving cruise ship passengers.

"We're talking about a world-class destination. It has history, culture, archaeological remains, delicious humidity... and even an airport that appears and disappears depending on the weather or politics," the head of the agency asserted.

Texcoco will have its own port

The first cruise ships to arrive will be from Caribbean Chinampa Cruises and Royal AIFA Lines, which will offer all-inclusive packages for passengers to travel on trajineras and enjoy gourmet dinners at Neza's garnacha stands.

To ensure the operation of cruise ships, SECTUR (National Secretariat of Tourism) assured that floating docks are already being built with recycled materials from the NAICM (National Institute of Tourism), so that ships can dock without problems… as long as there are no dust storms or humpback whale sightings.

Finally, it was announced that buoys will be installed where the landing strips used to be for water skiing tournaments, which will undoubtedly attract even more visitors to the Texcoco Marina Resort & Outlet .

And to stay up to date: we now know how much Florinda Meza earned for appearing on “El Chavo del Ocho.”
