The United Kingdom says it will recognize the State of Palestine in September if Israel does not declare a ceasefire: these were the other conditions

The British government will recognize the State of Palestine in September, ahead of the UN General Assembly, if Israel does not meet a series of conditions, including taking steps to end the "catastrophic situation in Gaza," declaring a ceasefire , and ensuring that it will not annex the West Bank.
At Tuesday's emergency Cabinet meeting, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also called on Israel to commit to a long-term peace process that would lead to a two-state solution: one Israeli and one Palestinian.

Later, in a statement followed by questions from reporters, the British leader stressed that he would assess whether these conditions were met in September before making a decision.
"Today I can confirm that the UK will recognise the State of Palestine in September, ahead of the UN General Assembly, unless Israel takes substantive steps to end the catastrophic situation in Gaza, agrees to a ceasefire, and commits to a long-term solution that revives the two-state solution. This includes allowing the UN to bring in humanitarian aid and making clear that there will be no annexation of the West Bank," he said.
Regarding the situation in the Strip, Starmer stated that we are seeing "images that will stay with us for the rest of our lives," and urged the Israeli authorities to "stop the suffering."
"We need to see at least 500 trucks (with aid) entering Gaza every day," he stressed, after explaining that he discussed the humanitarian situation yesterday with US President Donald Trump in Scotland.
At the same time, he acknowledged that the two-state goal "is under pressure like never before" and that this solution is "threatened."

He also sent a message to "Hamas terrorists," urging them to disarm, join a ceasefire, and accept that they will not be able to play any role in any future government in Gaza.
Starmer's announcements come after more than a third of his own Labour MPs and some of his cabinet's heavyweights, such as Health Minister Wes Streeting, have publicly called on him to recognize the State of Palestine.

At a protest outside Downing Street today, dozens of demonstrators called on Starmer to delay further and recognize Palestine as soon as possible, and to exert greater pressure on Israel to halt its punitive operation against Palestinians in Gaza.
This month, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that his country will recognize Palestine during the UN General Assembly, while other European countries, such as Spain, had already done so earlier this year.
