When does the 2025 Grand Prix start and which are the first towns competing?

When does the 2025 Grand Prix start and which are the first towns competing?

In Spain, summer is experienced in a special way, with customs common to almost all Spaniards, such as going out to enjoy the cool air at night or going to the pool and eating ice cream during the daylight hours.

Regarding entertainment, there have also been traditions such as when the streets empty out at siesta time and television becomes a family gathering place to watch legendary programs like 'Saber y ganar' or 'Cifras y letras'.

At night, it was time to watch "The Grand Prix," which became one of those programs that has defined generations and has crept into the collective memory. After more than a decade off the air, the grandfather and child program, as its theme song goes, returned to our screens in 2023 , adapted to the present day but with its same old essence.

'The Grand Prix of Summer' is one of those television classics that has managed to unite young and old in front of the screen , with its mix of fun, competition and a sense of belonging to a town, and this 2025 it returns to La 1 de TVE with Ramón García and company to liven up those Monday nights of ice cream and a fan once again.

When does 'The Grand Prix' start in 2025?

This 2025, 'El Grand Prix' returns to La 1 on Monday, July 7, when we are already fully immersed in summer and have experienced the first heat wave in Spain.

At the moment, it's unknown what time this season's program will premiere, although TVE has indicated that it will air after Broncano's 'La Revuelta,' which usually ends shortly before 11:00 p.m. It remains to be seen whether this program will end earlier so that 'El Grand Prix' can begin earlier.

The first towns to participate in 'The Grand Prix' 2025

The complete list of the 10 Spanish towns participating in 'The Grand Prix of Summer' is now known. To kick off the edition, the first towns to compete will be Huelma (Jaén) , sponsored by designer Alejandro Palomo, and Celanova (Orense) , with Anabel Alonso as sponsor.
