Cold front enters Mendoza, but there is an alert for storms with hail: the maximum for today

After several days of stifling heat, some relief will be felt in Mendoza this Wednesday . According to the weather forecast , today is expected to be partly cloudy, windy and with a drop in temperature. It was also indicated that there will be isolated storms in the province.

According to the Directorate of Agriculture and Climate Contingencies, a partially cloudy and windy day is expected for February 26 , with a drop in temperature. The estimated maximum temperature is 30 degrees and the minimum is 25.

In addition, according to the entity, moderate winds from the south and isolated storms are expected in the province.

As a frontal system will enter, the temperature will continue to drop on Thursday and the maximum temperature is expected to be 28 degrees and the minimum 21. “Partly cloudy with little change in temperature, light northeast winds and isolated storms,” says the DACC.

Mendoza Civil Defense has issued a yellow alert for storms in several areas of the province. In addition, they indicated that a southern front is expected to arrive during the day, which will lower temperatures.

“Probability of storms in the west of Greater Mendoza, Greater Mendoza, foothills, Uco Valley, Alvear and San Rafael . It could extend to the East, until dawn on Thursday 27/02,” the alert states.

He added: “The possibility of hail cannot be ruled out.”
