Shakira's concert in Medellin could already have a rescheduling date; Páramo explains what will happen

Shakira landed in Colombia last Tuesday, February 18, to perform five shows in the country. Two of them have already taken place, in Barranquilla (February 20 and 21), one in Medellin (February 24) and two others in Bogota (February 26 and 27). All of this, as part of bringing the tour 'Women no longer cry' to her native country.
However, the Barranquilla native had to postpone the date she had planned in the 'City of Eternal Spring' due to damage that would put the safety of the artist, her staff and the public at risk.
"We understand that this decision may be upsetting for the public who were eagerly awaiting the show, but the most important thing is the safety of everyone," Páramo said in an official statement.

In the last few hours, Páramo CEO Gabriel García told Blu Radio that the date scheduled in Medellín is expected to be rescheduled for the second half of 2025, and that more dates will possibly be added for other cities in the country.
"We have tentative dates (...) between September and November of this year," said García.
The Barranquilla native, who also had to reschedule her concert in Lima, would perform not only in Medellin but would also go to Cali if she returned to Colombia after July: "It all depends on the artists' and the cities' schedules," said Gabriel García.

We are trying to do a second season of concerts
"We are trying to take advantage of Shakira's return to South America to do more concerts, we'll see if we can do it," the CEO added to the radio station.

On February 21, hours before Shakira took the stage and performed her second date at the Metropolitan Stadium in Barranquilla, it was announced that the only date that the 'Pies descalzos' singer would do in Medellín had been postponed due to structural damage to the stage's roof.
This part of the stage, which serves to support the structure and helps keep the stage firm, presented failures in the early hours of Friday: "For Medellín we had to bring a roof from abroad, there was none in Colombia that could support the weight," said García.
In addition, the CEO of Páramo said that the roof had indeed arrived in the city with all its proper structure, "it began to be assembled and when we were raising it in parts, one of the pieces gave way and one of the motors when they had to raise it the roof twisted."

The cable broke and the roof fell. When it falls, the structure bends and when this happens it is confirmed that it cannot support the full weight.
He added: "We looked at other options... The engineers said they did not certify that the roof could support this weight ... Everything would have collapsed, the screens, and it would have been chaos."
