Uncuyo: The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences suspended activities due to institutional mourning.

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FCA) of the National University of Cuyo ( Uncuyo ) announced today the death of Dr. Federico Javier Berli, a professor and researcher at the university. The FCA expressed "its deepest sorrow at this irreparable loss" and extended "its condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students."

Given this situation, the Faculty declared a 48-hour institutional shutdown, with the suspension of academic and administrative activities. According to its website, those curricular areas with exam tables on July 4 will be notified as soon as possible of the necessary measures to avoid affecting the start of the second semester .

The FCA then thanked the entire community for their understanding and respect for "the situation our community is going through." "We share in the grief of all those who shared Dr. Federico Berli's professional and personal life. His passing leaves a deep mark on our institution ," the Faculty emphasized.

From his beginnings as a teacher-researcher, he stood out for his studies in the field of vine physiology and biochemistry, making important contributions to the scientific and productive environments of the province and the country ," the FCA stated.

And they added: "He was part of the teaching team of the Chair of Organic and Biological Chemistry and Director of the Plant Biochemistry Group at the Mendoza Institute of Agricultural Biology (FCA-CONICET). He stood out throughout his career for his academic commitment, his human warmth and his tireless vocation for teaching and research ."
