Helmut Ditsch is known for his impressive works that portray Argentine nature in all its splendor, in this case, the glacier located in the Patagonian region. This colossal work by Perito Moreno was painted in oil on canvas and took almost a year of work , recycling his classic technique.

Now, the largest ice sculpture made by the artist from Buenos Aires was purchased for 1,615,900 euros , reaching a record for an Argentine artist. The buyer was HPH Privatstiftung (Hans Peter Haselsteiner Private Foundation), an entity of the owner of Strabag, one of the most important construction companies in Europe, based in Vienna.
