The Environment clarifies its budget execution

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources refuted the report by the General Budget Directorate ( Digepres ) on the execution of spending at that institution, clarifying that the 17,321.7 million pesos allocated for this year correspond to its budget and that of the affiliated institutions.
The Environment Ministry's explanation is a response to the article " Two ministries spent more than 60% of their 2025 budget ," published by Diario Libre , which was based on the penultimate weekly report from Digepres , which includes data from January 1 to July 18.
"Contrary to what is stated in said article, the ministry does not have a budget of RD$17,321.7 million for this year. This figure corresponds to the total amount allocated by the Ministry of Finance , which must be distributed among the affiliated institutions," the ministry stated.
