300 free digital kits will be delivered to boost the web presence of entrepreneurs and SMEs in Colombia.

Despite the level of connectivity in Colombia, with 77.3% of citizens having internet access according to data from the Ministry of ICT and ICT Impact, the digitalization of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) continues to lag . More than half of these businesses still do not have a website, and around 70% have never made a sale through digital channels, according to the CONPES 4129 report on business digital transformation.
Faced with this situation, the national firm Conexcol, specializing in web solutions for startups, launched a call for proposals to deliver 300 free digital presence kits. The goal is to make it easier for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses to create their websites , without requiring technical knowledge or initial investment.
"Many emerging production units have valuable offerings, but they aren't online. At Conexcol, we want to eliminate that barrier with a comprehensive, free solution that allows them to enter the digital world professionally," explained Óscar Ríos, the company's CEO.

The kits are designed to provide all the essential resources needed to establish a functional, secure, and professional digital presence for a full year. Each kit includes:
- Custom .com.co domain for 12 months: Allows the business to have its own web address with a national extension, facilitating customer recognition and access.
- Cloud hosting plan: with 3 GB of SSD storage, 1 vCPU, and 1 GB of RAM. These specifications ensure speed, stability, and good site performance.
- Access to advanced technical tools, such as cPanel and LiteSpeed, which allow you to manage your site easily and effectively.
- Free SSL Certificate: Encrypt website information, protecting user data and increasing visitor confidence.
- 10 corporate email accounts: with personalized addresses under the business domain, ideal for professional service to clients, suppliers, and partners.
According to Conexcol, these benefits are free for the first year, and the user can then decide whether or not to continue with the service under commercial conditions.
Who can apply and what are the requirements? The call is aimed at entrepreneurs, independent workers, self-employed professionals , and small businesses that do not have an active website or have not been Conexcol clients in the past.
To apply, interested parties must complete the form available on the website https://conexcol.net.co/kit-emprendedor and attach the following documentation:
- Copy of the RUT (Single Tax Registry) or certificate of existence and current legal representation issued by the Chamber of Commerce.
- Links to the business or freelancer's social media accounts (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok) that allow verification of their commercial or professional activity.
- Affidavit stating that the applicant has not been a previous Conexcol client nor received similar services from the company.
Applications will be open until August 30, 2025, or until the 300 available kits are sold out . Allocations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, and each application will undergo a review process to validate its authenticity and compliance with requirements.
"Our goal is to reach entrepreneurs, as well as real freelancers who haven't yet had the opportunity to digitize their business. That's why we will implement a rigorous and transparent verification process," Ríos added.

Once the application is approved, Conexcol will email a unique redemption code, which will activate all the kit's services from the company's portal . Additionally, each beneficiary will receive a personalized video tutorial, guiding them step-by-step through the website setup and implementation process.
The page design is optimized for easy viewing on mobile devices, social media integration, and improved visibility in search engines like Google—key factors for attracting new customers and increasing sales.
This initiative represents one of the most concrete efforts by the private sector to support the digital transformation process of MSMEs in Colombia. With more than 600,000 startups still lacking an online presence, free access to tools such as domains, web hosting, and corporate email can make a difference in their economic development.
"A strong digital presence shouldn't be a luxury, but rather an essential component for any business that wants to compete in today's market," concluded the Conexcol spokesperson.
