Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 at its Unpacked 2025 event, boasting a more compact and durable foldable design, improved AI features, and a new, larger, brighter FlexWindow.
The device combines portability with advanced processing capabilities, offering Galaxy AI-powered tools for multimodal tasks, voice control, and personalization.
The 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer FlexWindow is the largest yet in the Flip series, with up to 2,600 nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate .
Includes Vision Booster for outdoor visibility, allowing users to send quick messages, check their calendar, or take selfies without opening the phone.
The main display is a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, optimized for scrolling and immersive content.
In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the thinnest in the series, at 13.7 mm folded and weighing 188 grams. It features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the exterior and an improved, thinner, and reinforced Armor FlexHinge, along with an Armor Aluminum frame for added durability.
The 3nm Exynos 2500 processor, with a more powerful CPU, GPU, and NPU than the Flip6 , enables smoother AI experiences and support for Samsung DeX for the first time on a Flip model. Galaxy AI offers capabilities like translation, text editing, contextual suggestions, and Gemini Live in the FlexWindow for voice search and hands-free commands.
The 4300mAh battery is the largest in the Flip series , offering up to 31 hours of video playback. It includes fast wired charging (50% in about 30 minutes with a 25W charger), Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare for sharing power with other compatible devices.
The camera system integrates a 10 MP front camera and a dual rear camera with a 50 MP (wide-angle) and 12 MP (ultra-wide-angle) main sensor. It offers 10-bit HDR, Enhanced Nightography, Real-Time Filters, Zoom Slider, and Dual Preview directly in the FlexWindow.
In software, One UI 8 on Android 16 enables new customization features, improved multitasking, and voice control. Now Bar and Now Brief allow you to check notifications, calendar, weather, and health from the external display, with integration with Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch.
Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE , with more affordable specifications, a 6.7-inch main screen, a 50 MP dual rear camera, and a 4000 mAh battery.
