The new Apple feature that was supposed to arrive in Spain but has just been banned in the EU.

The iPhone 17 and this entire new family have just arrived in stores and in the hands of the first users who pre-ordered the device, and although this is the highlight of the company's annual presentation, it doesn't mean that it's the only new thing they've introduced.

Since along with the new iPhone, the apple company also presented the new generation of smart watches Apple Watch Series 11 , the Watch SE 3 , the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and also the AirPods Pro 3 headphones.

As expected, all of these new devices include new features, and when it comes to Apple's headphones, one of the big changes is that they include live language translation . According to the company, they can translate English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

And they're also expected to be available in Italian, Japanese, Korean, and a simplified version of Chinese by the end of this year. This feature is undoubtedly groundbreaking, as it eliminates the language barrier simply by purchasing the company's headphones and syncing them with your iPhone, which must also be updated with the company's latest software version, iOS 26.

Unfortunately, Spanish users, and European users in general, will not be able to enjoy this amazing feature because, as Apple's own website states: "Live translation with AirPods is not available if you are located in the EU and the country or region of your Apple account is also in the EU."

This is due to regulations, specifically the EU Digital Markets Act , designed to prevent large tech companies from dominating digital markets and to provide more choice for consumers and businesses.

Apple is blocking the translation feature in the EU due to the law's "interoperability" requirements for its iOS system. However, the company is understood to be trying to make the tool available in our country as soon as possible.
