Attention collectors: Colombian art auction announced

The Independence Day celebration is preparing for its third auction of the year. This time, the event features Colombian art, with a series of pieces that not only showcase their aesthetic richness but also promote the diversification of the country's cultural heritage.

In this edition, the auction house and antique dealer opens its doors not only to established collectors, but also to new buyers who see art as a form of investment with symbolic value and financial potential.
The event, which will take place on July 31 at 6:30 p.m., will feature graphic works, sculptures, mixed media, and photography.
Among the authors' names are Edgar Negret, Beatriz González, Alejandro Obregón, Luis Caballero, and Noé León. The list also includes contemporary artists such as Ana María Rueda, Didier Bedoya, Ana Salazar, Nicolás Consuegra, Alejandro Sánchez, and Fernando Arias.

Some of the works that will be available are:
- Corn (1996) by Édgar Negret, painted aluminum sculpture, edition 3/5.
- Date II (1979) by Beatriz González, critical and sharp silkscreen, edition 43/112, has arrived .
- Condor (1991) by Alejandro Obregón, a lithograph of great expressive force, edition 38/100.
- Daily Horizon (2024) by Ana Salazar, digital photography on canvas with neon light, 1/3 edition.
- Traces (2022) by Didier Bedoya, a vibrant work in oil and petroleum on canvas.- Landscape (YBGG) (2019) by Alejandro Sánchez, work in polyester resin and acrylic paints.

To give attendees a glimpse into the pieces they will find, La Independencia will hold a pre-auction exhibition. It will be open from July 17th to 30th, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The catalog includes graphic, sculptural, and mixed-media pieces by masters such as Luis Caballero, Beatriz González, Édgar Negret, Alejandro Obregón, and Noé León, alongside key figures in contemporary art such as Ana María Rueda, Fernando Arias, Didier Bedoya, Ana Salazar, and Nicolás Consuegra.
