Colombia expects more than 10.7 million passengers at airports during the mid-year peak season.

The mid-year season brings one of the busiest periods for Colombian tourism. According to the Civil Aeronautics and the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO), it is estimated that more than 10.7 million passengers will travel through the country's airports between June and July 2025.
According to figures from the Civil Aeronautics Administration, between June 15 and July 14 alone, 5,414,000 air passengers are projected to travel. Of these, 3,258,000 will travel domestically and 2,156,000 will travel internationally.
Anato, for his part, estimates that for the two months (June and July), the total movement will be 10.7 million people, which represents an 8.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
According to the organization, this increase reflects the growing demand for tourism experiences and the wide range of traditional and emerging destinations across the country.
Anato's CEO, Paula Cortés Calle, emphasized that "with the recent 44th Tourism Showcase, tourism industry leaders strengthened their tourism packages with strategic alliances to offer travelers better options this and future vacation seasons."
Domestic passenger traffic is expected to increase by 11.1%, reaching 6.4 million passengers, while international flights are expected to grow by 5.6%, with 4.2 million passengers.

Furthermore, this season coincides with school and work holidays, which increases demand for tourism products and services, boosting travel agencies and creating jobs in multiple regions.
Expanding air connectivity This growth is possible thanks to a solid infrastructure. In April 2025 alone, direct domestic air connectivity grew by 50% and international air connectivity by 11% compared to April 2024.
Colombia now has 6,259 direct domestic weekly flights , operated by six airlines, covering 244 routes in 60 cities. Internationally, 29 airlines operate 1,483 weekly flights, connecting to 30 countries and 55 cities on 109 direct routes.
This outlook positions Colombia as an increasingly accessible and competitive destination in the global tourism market . "The presence of Colombian business leaders at international fairs and the strengthening of the country's brand have been fundamental to this growth," added Cortés Calle.
