Rice strike: Due to roadblocks, Avianca doubles seat supply to Villavicencio, and Latam and Satena set fare caps on routes.

Starting July 23, new traffic schedules were established in the Llano Lindo sector, as determined by the rice farmers' strike leaders.

Vehicle traffic in the Llano Lindo sector, at kilometer 85, will be as follows:
- In the morning: from 2:00 am to 8:00 am
- In the afternoon: from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm
In this context, Avianca announced through a press release that it will double capacity during the weekend—days of greatest movement —to Villavicencio with the operation of flights on Airbus A320s , with capacity for 180 passengers.
This is in addition to the company's regular operations with partner airline Clic Air, which operates three daily flights between Bogotá and Villavicencio.
This means that passengers will have a total of 28 flights and 3,660 seats at the end of this week , representing 24.5 percent more seats, in addition to the fare cap that includes taxes and fees, in order to respond to the current situation.
“For years, at Avianca, we've understood that Villavicencio needs constant air connectivity. That's why we operate uninterruptedly in the region and make our human and operational resources available to offer more flights. This isn't the first time we've acted accordingly, and we will continue to do so whenever the Llano's connectivity is compromised,” stated Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.

The company will continue to monitor the situation on the Llano highway in order to provide timely solutions to travelers who need to travel to and from this region.
Likewise, the company assured that it will continue working together to provide concrete and sustainable solutions that benefit citizens.

Latam Airlines Colombia, for its part, reported that it has suspended a maximum fare of 285,200 pesos plus taxes per leg on the Bogotá-Yopal route, which will remain in effect until July 28.
This measure aims to offer travelers an alternative means of transportation while the road situation is assessed. It should be noted that the company does not operate flights to Villavicencio.
Satena, for its part, joined this measure, ensuring that, during this contingency, the rates will remain unchanged, with a price range between 236,800 pesos and 570,000 pesos for the Bogotá–Villavicencio route , and between 238,200 pesos and 571,400 pesos for the Villavicencio - Bogotá route, values that can be consulted and purchased through the airline's website.
