"Discobeast", the song by Joyca and MrBeast ranks in the top 30 France on Spotify

They wanted to make it a gold record. Discobeast , the song created by MrBeast and Joyca is already in the Top 30 France on Spotify. This Wednesday, February 26, the song was number 26 in the French ranking.
It all started with a project by French YouTuber Joyca . The idea? Create a song called "Discobeast" with the world's number one influencer MrBeast. In a fifteen-minute video shared on February 23, we can see the two content creators recording the sound.
"Can you get a gold record with someone who has never made music? And what if that someone was the biggest YouTuber in the world?" asks Joyca.
Indeed, Joyca started on Youtube 9 years ago with his channel "Youtunes", where he took the voices of his favorite YouTubers to transform them into songs. Since then, he has diversified and has gathered 6.55 million subscribers on his comedy video channel. However, he has never abandoned his passion. In 2019, he produced a parody song with Squeezie . Entitled Bye Bye , the single was certified gold . He therefore decided to repeat the experience, but this time with MrBeast.
"I can't sing," MrBeast admits. But Joyca has the solution: the YouTuber followed by 366 million subscribers will only need to read a text that will then be remixed. After a few technical problems, a 15-minute shoot and several hours of work: Discobeast is finally available.
Three days after its release, the song has accumulated no less than 500,000 plays on the music streaming platform. The limited edition vinyls sold out in less than an hour. A first step before reaching 15 million streams on Spotify, and obtaining a gold record.
"I had a blast making this sound from someone speaking into a microphone, which is what got me to where I am today. It was a great opportunity to pay tribute to that time in my life," he said in an Instagram post.
All revenues generated by this track will be donated to UNICEF. If the track reaches 30 million streams, it will go platinum. Joyca will then get the name of the project tattooed on her elbow.
