Lille metro: traffic interrupted on line 1 for several hours after a fault on the automatic pilot

Another day of misery for Lille metro users. Traffic was interrupted on line 1, shortly before noon, this Wednesday, February 26. The cause was a fault in the new automatic pilot, Ilévia details on its social networks.
First announced at 12:35 p.m., then at 1:30 p.m., traffic resumed around 2 p.m., after nearly two hours of interruption.
Ilévia announced that relay buses have been set up between CHU Eurasanté and Villeneuve-d'Ascq Hôtel de Ville. They will run until 2:15 p.m.
Users are invited to consult the Ilévia website to view details of the disruptions.
This disruption adds to the line of malfunctions recorded in recent months. The European metropolis of Lille estimated that 300,000 regular users had suffered from the disruptions between September and December 2024. Metropolitan elected officials will vote this Friday, February 28, on a resolution to return nearly 4 million euros to network users via special commercial offers.
