A luxury Smurfette signed Franck Muller

To celebrate the new film dedicated to the adventures of Peyo's Smurfs, the Swiss manufacturer is offering three Vanguard Smurfette watches.
At the time, his gesture was considered scandalous and iconoclastic: in 1984, Gérald Genta exhibited jumping-hour watches with Mickey, Minnie, and Scrooge on their dials at the Basel Fair. This was the result of an unprecedented agreement with Michael Eisner, then head of Disney Studios, who had asked the famous watch designer to create a watch representing Bambi for his mother. Scandalized, the exhibitors' committee then requested that these watches, which would "discredit the profession ," not be exhibited. Since then, these models have become cult classics, proof, if proof were needed, that luxury watch lovers are also big kids, and that taking oneself too seriously can be seriously detrimental to both health and ego.
This time, it's Franck Muller's turn to surprise by unveiling, to mark the release of The Smurfs film, a trio of luxury watches dedicated to the very seductive and solitary Smurfette. Three Vanguard Smurfettes in a limited edition of 100 pieces, ranging in price from €10,500 for the non-set version to €22,000 for the set version. This is an unexpected territory for the brand, renowned for its complex and iconoclastic creations. But since Rihanna is responsible for Smurfette's dialogue in the English-language version, this watch is also a pure luxury item for her fans.
In this film, the Smurfs discover that time, and how we choose to spend it, is the true measure of destiny. What could be more logical than to turn it into a watch? In a house Vanguard case, you can opt for a vibrant Smurf blue dial with hand-applied numerals outlined in blue, all with a vibrant blue strap. Or a white dial adorned with hand-painted pink numerals and a matching pink strap. These watches are available in Franck Muller boutiques and online at www.watchespedia.com . Deliveries will begin on September 25, 2025.
