American actress Gwyneth Paltrow hired to restore the image of the American company Astronomer

Astronomer has decided to entrust its crisis communications to an Oscar-winning star. American actress Gwyneth Paltrow introduced herself as the American firm's " temporary spokesperson" in a humorous video released on July 25. She discusses the company's activities, which owes its newfound notoriety to an adultery affair.

At Coldplay's July 16 concert near Boston, a "kiss cam" caught former manager Andy Byron tenderly holding his mistress and colleague, Kristin Cabot, a resource director. The lovers' guilty attitude, as noted by Coldplay singer Chris Martin and the audience, finally swept away any remaining doubts about their relationship.

" Hi, my name is Gwyneth Paltrow. I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of Astronomer's 300+ employees," the actress explains. " Astronomer has received a lot of questions over the past few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones," she continues. To truncated questions, including how the company currently manages its social media, Gwyneth Paltrow responds by refocusing the discussion on Astronomer's expertise.

The actress echoes the message that was already highlighted in the press release announcing Andy Byron's departure on July 19. " Before this week, we were recognized as pioneers in the field of DataOps [optimizing data workflow management], helping data teams manage everything from modern analytics to production AI. While the perception of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not." The Astronomer ad video begins and ends with a tagline: "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer."

Gwyneth Paltrow is the ex-wife of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, Variety notes. This is certainly not a coincidence in Astronomer's choice: the company seems to have decided to improve its image by capitalizing on the ups and downs of married life.
