We were warned: to approach this 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, which is dedicated to intelligence, we would have to use our neurons at full capacity! A very broad theme - too broad, given the density and multiplicity of projects presented over hundreds of meters in the Arsenale - chosen by its curator, Carlo Ratti , the 57-year-old Italian architect and engineer, with the profile of an avant-garde researcher, sparkling eyes behind small oval glasses and a carefully studied look in jeans and sneakers. A fascinating subject too - with the downside of being highly intellectual and not demonstrative enough, despite the abundance of spectacular installations - placed at the heart of a discipline in total upheaval.
