Besançon. Firefighters' Ball: After a 36-year absence, a roaring return

Thirty-six years after it was last held, the Firefighters' Ball is back in action at the Rhodiacéta wasteland, with games, entertainment, food trucks, refreshments, and music until the early hours. The initiative, led by the Association of Firefighters, mobilized 300 professional and volunteer firefighters and was sold out, with 4,500 reservations.
Jeannot Rougetet is in charge of catering this evening's ball. He retired from the Besançon fire department two years ago. "It's always hard to leave; the fire department was my life. In the end, I told myself I'd given a lot and that I could enjoy retirement." However, the atmosphere is a bit lacking, so he's come to help organize this first ball organized by the fire department in thirty-six years...
