Dordogne: Favorites from the Naturellement Périgord tourist office

Do you want to get your hands dirty? The Naturellement Périgord tourist office offers a creative papermaking workshop at the Vaux paper mills in Payzac. Become a papermaker for a day by immersing yourself in the production of artisanal paper using different plant-based pastes and discovering creative techniques. You already know everything about the art of papermaking? It is also possible to try your hand at linocutting with an introduction to a modern engraving technique. Each participant will have to reproduce a design on a linoleum plate, then engrave it with gouges. The engraving is then printed on paper.
Papermaking workshops take place during the summer holidays from Tuesday to Friday inclusive. They last 1 hour, for ages 3 and up, and require prior reservation. The price is €7. Linocut workshop for children and adults (ages 10 and up). Every Friday during the summer holidays. Price: €16, reservation required. Information: +33 5 53 62 50 06 / [email protected]
The forge is already worth the detour, but going there when you also know that it serves as a theater set, you'll immediately say yes. This summer, the Compagnons d'Ulysse troupe presents its musical show based on Molière, adapted by Jean-Baptiste Siaussat, with Pascal Michel, JB Siaussat, and Fanny Tramcourt. The date is set to start at 8:30 p.m. on July 30. "It's the middle of the last century and the blues arrive in France in jazz clubs. Alceste is a talented artist: painter, musician, composer, singer. He has everything he needs to succeed but can't stand the hypocrisy of this glittery world. However, he is in love with Célimène, an actress, who uses her charms to make a name for herself." To the rhythm of wild comedic scenes, interspersed with blues pieces sung on the guitar, share the crazy day of Alceste, torn between his love for Célimène and his rejection of the world around him. The show is performed outdoors (with a fallback venue in case of rain), and reservations are recommended. Prices: full price 10 euros, reduced price 5 euros, free for children under 12.

Do you like spending the summer outdoors? The Naturellement Périgord tourist office has thought of you, in partnership with Ciné Passion Périgord and the CCILAP.
