Journalist Thomas Legrand announced on Tuesday, September 9, that he was giving up his weekly show on France Inter, but will continue to appear on air. He was criticized for controversial remarks about Rachida Dati made to Socialist Party leaders and filmed without his knowledge.

Criticized by several political leaders for contentious comments about Rachida Dati made to leaders of the Socialist Party, journalist Thomas Legrand announced on Tuesday, September 9, that he was giving up his weekly show on France Inter, but will continue to appear on air.

"I announced this morning to the management of France Inter that it is now impossible for me to calmly ensure the weekly debate planned in the new schedule," the journalist, who had been filmed without his knowledge with PS executives, indicated on the social network X. "He will continue to appear on air," assured the management of France Inter, which had temporarily suspended him.
