Leisure. What's on this weekend around Colmar?

Dancing, sailing, concerts, and a charity egg hunt... There's definitely something for everyone and every age this weekend in the Colmar region when it comes to leisure and cultural activities. Take your pick!

The Colmar Rhine Nautical Club, an association founded in 1961, is holding its open day this Sunday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"We're far from everything, we have to make ourselves known," says Christian Illinger, a member for 25 years, proud to present a nautical base completely renovated in 2020 .
Visitors to the Geiskopf base will be able to enjoy sailing dinghies, small boats up to 8 meters long. The duration will depend on the number of visitors and the wind. Qualified members of the club will be at the helm for safety reasons.
On the other hand, equipped with a life jacket, everyone will be able to independently test canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards, and take their first sail. The public will also be able to discover the Ingersheim club's model ship building and its small remote-controlled sailboats.
Another first, the Andolsheim artist Éric Kauffmann will exhibit sculptures of sailboats made from recycled metal, measuring around 80 cm.
A free day
All day activities are free, only the snacks (mainly tartes flambées) and the refreshment bar are chargeable.

Colmar: Secours populaire solidarity egg hunt
The Secours Populaire's solidarity egg hunt is taking place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Parc Méquillet in Colmar. The eggs hidden by volunteers and hunted by children help fund solidarity projects around the world. A fair, games for young and old, and sports activities complete the program. Each egg found or puzzle solved is rewarded with chocolate eggs and other treats. The event also raises children's awareness of solidarity and introduces them to the "Copain du monde" children's volunteer movement.
Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Parc Méquillet, rue Camille-Schlumberger. €3 for a hunting license, €2 for a game license. 03 89 23 97 94 or [email protected].

The Sigolsheim Historical Society is organizing the first Peace Week from Tuesday through Sunday. It's an opportunity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation and the 60th anniversary of the necropolis.
The first Peace Week continues in Sigolsheim. Conceived by the local history society, the event "is an opportunity to 'celebrate,' so to speak, the 60th anniversary of the necropolis and the 80th anniversary of the Liberation," explains Claude Dietrich, one of the association's members.
The final four days of the event, which kicked off on Tuesday, begin this Thursday at 9 a.m. with a visit to the Lost Company camp, an association that organizes historical reenactment camps, which will have spent the night at the necropolis. The day will continue with a commemorative ceremony for the 1945 victory, also at the necropolis.
Change of venue at 6 p.m. for a conference on the history of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, within the religious building itself.
A wacky play about resistance
The next day, it's time for an original theatrical evening at the Espace Pluriel with Le petit résistant illustré, where the characters of Paul and Ferdinand, former cabaret artists, return from the afterlife to tell the story of the Second World War in their own way. Projected into a classroom, they discuss both the Third Reich and extraordinary stories of the Resistance.
Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m., guided tour of the necropolis followed by a festive evening of tartes flambées and songs performed by the Alsaciennes de Paris at the Espace Pluriel. The festivities will conclude Sunday at 3 p.m. with a screening of the documentary Audie Murphy, also at the Espace Pluriel, in the presence of its director, Zouhair Chebbale.
During the festivities, exhibitions will be presented at the necropolis on the necropolis and its history, and in the Zeller Hall on Sigolsheim, a destroyed village and the presentation of the Rhine and Danube army.
