Founded by two Swedish thirty-somethings, this brand brings together fashionistas and Savile Row clients with its minimalist, chic tailored suits.
Lately, it's been hard to get excited about the world of tailoring . On one side, there were the honorable historic houses, from Naples (Rubinacci, Kiton), Rome (Brioni), London and Savile Row (Anderson & Sheppard, Henry Poole) or Paris (Cifonelli, Berluti), with indisputable know-how, but sometimes stifling under the weight of tradition. On the other, there are the new suit brands promising the earth (low prices, measurements taken by artificial intelligence, etc.), with haphazard manufacturing and not always a successful look. There were a few half-measure houses with a strong style, like Husbands and its seventies line, but that's about it... When the name Saman Amel started circulating, we were obviously intrigued. And even more so when we realized that this tailor whose praises everyone sings is neither Italian nor British but... Swedish.
