At "Ouest-France", the HR director was suspended after accidentally posting a message insulting a staff representative

"With [name of an elected official], we're between a dachshund and a cocker spaniel." It was 11:02 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, when the staff representatives of Ouest-France , meeting with their management in the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), saw this incongruous message appear in their meeting channel on the Teams application. Posted by the regional daily's human resources director, present around the table, this message likely comments on the physical appearance of an elected official, who was also present. The message, sent by mistake and which seemed rather intended for a private discussion channel, was deleted a few seconds later by the HR director.
But not quickly enough for him to escape the elected officials. Outraged, they unanimously demanded an immediate suspension of the CSE. "At the time the incident occurred, it was not a moment of particular tension, we were rather in a courteous and measured exchange with management," says a witness from the unions to this story also reported Wednesday, July 16 by the Canard enchaîné .
