Banks, regions, town halls… These bonuses that you can claim after obtaining your baccalaureate

The baccalaureate results came out last Friday , so it's time for new graduates to claim their bonus. Passing your baccalaureate can be rewarding, especially if you got a distinction. The first thing to do is contact your bank. At CIC, for example, you can receive up to €160 if you got a distinction, and €40 for a distinction. At Société Générale or Banque Populaire, you don't even need a distinction. Just show that you passed your baccalaureate to get €60 or €50.
If you are at Crédit Agricole, it will depend on your regional branch, but in general, you can get €50 for a "Fairly Good" grade in the baccalaureate and up to €250 for a "Very Good" grade.
In any case, be careful: to get the bonus, you often have to open an account, and sometimes subscribe to a specific package. The bank's interest will be to attract and retain young customers, so compare offers carefully and see how much it will cost you after receiving your bonus.
It's not just banks that reward good students. Some schools also offer a reduction in first-year tuition fees for students who receive a "Very Good" or "Highest Honors" grade. It's worth working hard. There's also merit-based aid, paid by the state. This applies to scholarship students who received a "Very Good" grade in their baccalaureate and are enrolled in a higher education institution at the start of the academic year. They will receive €900 in nine installments of €100.
And finally, there are the local authorities. Here too, it's worth checking with your town hall, your departmental and regional council, since each offers assistance based on its own criteria. A few examples: in PACA, it's €400 for a Very Good distinction, and €500 in Auvergne RA. In Île-de-France, the bonus rises to €1,000, but only applies to scholarship students who have obtained a Very Good distinction and who continue their studies in the region.

Cannes is the most generous city, with a scholarship of up to €2,000. However, it's not for everyone: you must have a very good grade, continue your studies, and have your application selected.
Montrouge, in Hauts-de-Seine, is not bad either: a reward of €400 for honors, up to €800 for honors. And the good news is that all these grants can be combined, so it would be a shame to miss out.
