Banque de France: Following the suicide of an employee, a report confirms the "boiling" of social risks at the Vic-le-Compte printing works

A report by Technologia, conducted on the social situation of the EuropaFi subsidiary following the suicide of a foreman in November 2024, describes a company undermined by serious tensions generated by the coexistence of two statuses and by difficult working conditions, to which management is struggling to respond.
At the Vic-le-Comte factory (Puy-de-Dôme), everything was in place for things to go well. The last banknote printing house in France, EuropaFi, a subsidiary of the Banque de France that benefited from a €400 million modernization plan, has been making a profit for years thanks to the production of banknotes in euros and other currencies (80% of its business).
